Dr. Joel was raised in Alaska and grew up in commercial fishing in Valdez. He worked in the Prudhoe Bay oil field for several years. He also worked manual labor jobs including runway and road construction projects in western Alaska.
After experiencing the benefits of Chiropractic, he changed career paths so he could help others. He graduated from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon in 2007 with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He practiced in Oregon while continuing his education. Because of his passion, Dr. Ingersoll has a post-graduate certificate in Functional Medicine and continually studies the most current literature, research and information regarding all aspects of health, nutrition, lifestyle, exercise, and general wellness.
Additionally, he is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in Physiotherapy. Dr. Joel has been practicing in Alaska since 2011 when he and his family moved back to Alaska with his cat and dog.
